Provide
personal care and household management activities under professional nursing supervision.
Responsible for adherence to a care plan that may include helping patient with personal
hygiene, preparing meals, running errands, accompanying patient to the physician's office,
light housekeeping, helping patient with speech, language or physical therapy programs.
Must practice universal precautions and infection control techniques. Requires completion
of 77 hour training course, passing both written and practical competency exam and
certification from the NJ State Board of Nursing. Requires completion of 12 hours of
in-service education each year. Training is free. |
