Ken Wessel, MSW, ACSW, LSW
Executive Director
Ken
has been with HomeCare Options for over 30 years. He has served four
terms on the board of the National Association of Home Care and has
served as Chairman of the Home Care Aide Association of America, a
position he has been elected to four times. He has been an advocate for
patients of in-home care and for home care providers and workers.
He serves as Vice President of the Home Care Council
of NJ and was a two term president of that organization. He has been a
four term Board member and former VP of the Home Care Association of NJ
and was Chairman of the Passaic County Human Services Advisory Council
for six terms. He is currently Treasurer of the Home Care
Foundation of NJ.
Ken has also been instrumental in setting the standards for care at home
health agencies in New Jersey, working on the 1986-87 state task force
which revised the licensure requirements for home health agencies. Ken
holds two Congressional Certificates of Merit, presented in 1991 and
1997. He has been a recipient of the Passaic County Leadership
Award and named United Way Executive of the Year as well as their 2005
recipient of the Community Cornerstone award. Ken was selected
2002 Home Care
Association of NJ Member of
the Year. He has testified before both houses of Congress and the New Jersey State
Legislature numerous times in hearings involving home care issues. Ken
has written numerous articles on home care topics and speaks around the
country about the value of the home care workforce.
He holds a Masters of Social Work / in Administration from Rutgers University and
a B.A. in Political Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Alexis Barry BSN, MPA Director
of Services

Alexis received a
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Master’s in Public
Administration from Seton Hall University and has extensive experience
in community-based and public health services, as well as the Medicare,
Medicaid, and Title III programs. With more than 20 years in the
planning, management and delivery of home health care services to the
elderly, disabled, ill and those recovering from hospital stays, she is
experienced in the nursing care of people of all ages, with particular
interest in the care of older adults. Ms. Barry has recently served on
the Monmouth County Office on Aging Advisory and Coordinating Councils.
She is a current board member of the NJ Home Care Association, and
serves as chair of the Home Health Aide Committee and member of the
legislative committee. She is secretary of the Home Care Foundation New
Jersey. Ms. Barry is a past board member of the Commission on
Accreditation for Home Care of New Jersey and a Life member of the Essex
ARC.

Carol Deary Director of Finance
Carol is responsible for the payroll, billing and accounting functions
of HomeCare Options. With more than 25 years in the accounting field and
joined HCO in 1994. Carol has a wealth of experience in managing the business side of the company. She
has worked in bookkeeping, office management/administration, operations management and
accounting/finance. Prior to coming to HCO, she worked at a home care agency in Morris
County.

Melissa Laccitiello, BS Director
of Operations
Melissa has managed operations at the agency since 2001. She
supervises a staff of eight and oversees the s
cheduling,
reception, and in-take departments. Any
questions or requests regarding the types of services, rates and availability
of staff go through
her department. Melissa began her career as a client service coordinator and holds a B.S.
in health education and community health from Montclair State University.

Meredith Olarte, BA
Director of Community
Relations
Meredith Olarte is HomeCare Options’ Director of Community
Relations. Olarte initially came to the agency in 1998 as a licensed
social worker, leaving in 2000 to move to Florida. She returned in 2004
as manager of community relations. She is responsible for promotion
of the agency and its services in keeping with an image that preserves
the existing community-based approach. She is a graduate of William
Paterson University and a resident of Stockholm, NJ.

Aneesha Jean, RN, BSN, MSN Director of Wellness
A Paterson native, Aneesha Jean earned her BSN from UMDNJ-Ramapo College
of NJ and is currently enrolled in the MSN Nursing Education program at
Ramapo College. Aneesha
previously worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Saint Joseph Health
and Medical Center and as an adjunct professor for Ho-hoKus medical
school. Aneesha has worked as Nurse field supervisor with Home Care
Options for over five years and currently serves as the Director of
Wellness.

Sophia Zak, RN Field Supervisor Manager
Sophia has been with HomeCare Options for
over 15 years. She directs the R.N.
field supervisors, orienting new staff and ensuring that all staff and
home care aide services meet state
and federal guidelines. She helps teach the home health aide course and assists with the
practical competency testing of new aides. She started with HCO as a Field Supervisor and
previously worked in nursing for over 20 years at St. Mary's Hospital in Orange. She is a
graduate of Felician College.
