Home Health Aide Services

Certified home health aides perform those household and health-related services that are essential to the patient’s well-being and necessary to prevent or postpone institutionalization.

Before assigning an aide, we conduct a professional evaluation and assessment of each patient. This results in the development of a care plan, prepared in cooperation with the patient and family.

Aides provide the following services:

  • Grooming
  • Bathing
  • Toileting
  • Dressing
  • Walking
  • Transfers (bed to sofa, sofa to the bathroom, etc.)
  • Activities of daily living
  • Supervision of nutrition, special diets
  • Self-administered medications
  • Meal preparations
  • Light housekeeping

The supervisor oversees each case.

Our goal is to find the best possible match between aide and patient, with aides carefully selected depending on the needs, health and preferences of the patient. Our aides – who have been with us for an average of eight years, unheard of in the home care industry – treat their patients as if they were part of their own family.

In many cases, patients and aides have been together for years.

All Christian Health-HomeCare Options’ aides complete the NJ State Board of Nursing approved training course and pass both written and practical tests for certification. Aides always practice universal precautions and infection control techniques.

Aide Availability: Aides can come to patients’ homes 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

In the case of an emergency or problem, we have trained intake coordinators available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
